The AIBG around Australia

It has been a great year to talk about Academic Integrity – I’ve had the pleasure to visit a number of universities and present workshops on the game.

These workshops have included

The American Accounting Association Conference on Teaching and Learning

The University of South Australia Business School

The University of Sydney Business School

La Trobe University’s Teaching and Learning Week

And the ATN (Australian Technology Network) Authentic Assessment Symposium hosted by UTS

How does the game work?

The game is a simplified version of Snakes and Ladders where students work in pairs to answer Questions Cards about academic integrity. Correct responses allows teams to move forward on the game board. Students also have the potential to experience what happens if you engage in academic misconduct through Scenario Cards where a spinner leaves their academic fate to chance. Where the spinner indicates you’ve engaged in misconduct, you’ll have a longer path to complete the game and reach the Graduation point.

The AIBG at the UTS T&L Forum
